A real man would have checked out these accusations to find out what is the truth before spreading it over the internet. This reminds me of some little old ladies who are so bored with life all they enjoy doing is making up and spreading stories about people. Somehow it gives their unproductive lives a little jolt, sort of like a powerful drug. It makes them feel important and big. Never mind that they've hurt other people or ruined their reputations. They don't care, like the druggie, they return for their little "jolt" as often as possible. And the more titillating they can make it the better to talk about, the higher the jolt.

In my opinion people who are like this are psychotic.

A lot of things on AT ceased to suprise me a long time ago. In the beginning they claimed to be Christians who looked for and thought they found sin. They then took it upon themselves to point it out to the world and call for repentance, all the while never realizing they were committing sin by the way they were doing it. Now some of them go as far as to state murderous words; sin. To think to destroy anyones reputation or character is the same as murder too; sin. To say we are Christians and talk and act quite the opposite is taking the Lord's name in vain; sin. To lie, start and spread false gossip and rumors is also sin and on the same level with Adam and Eve who committed the first sin. It is doing what God has asked us not to do.

When someone states ugly things about others it is up to them to prove their statements. Some of them seem to think that it is up to the others to prove it is not true. IMO it should be taken as nothing but silly childish talk. No one ever gets anywhere by stepping upon others anyway.

One thing I am a little surprised at is how Adam, who first came to stand with his friend against TS, is now casting aspersions at 3ABN and its workers. Even IF his allegations were true what does that have to do with Adam? It would be up to the individual workers as to how they budget their own money toward the things they want.

It seems my writing to Lily stirred up a hornets nest at AT. I would like to set a few things straight. I have not written about TS in anyway so for anyone to state anything about me concerning TS is uncalled for. Also, Cindy did write, very nicely I might add, about how she looked at the TS situation. I might add, I agree with her. She cannot be held responsible for how others perceive, twist or distort what she wrote.

I am a soldier on the wall defending 3ABN from those who viciously attack with their words of false accusations, rumors and gossip. 3ABN and it's workers are working for God and their fellowman; preparing a people for our Lord's soon coming. I stand with them. I can see the need for that by what is written by the few members at AT and how others hearing it repeated over and over begin to believe and repeat it as truth.

They want to make Cindy out as a liar. Nothing could be further from the truth. She mostly posts proof of factual and documented things. If it is her opinion she states that. She is not perfect, no one is, but she prays about and tries to do her best. She continues to grow in the Lord.

I didn't think I would ever talk about this in public but Cindy was abused. Her dad and I held the shocked, young, shivering and frightened girl in our arms. It does no one any good to even suggest it never happened. It makes me sad for those who are doing so. Cindy is an example of how, with the Lord's help, one can overcome the worst of things and not seek vengeance, be bitter, angry or let it affect their lives in any negative way.

We have four phone extensions in our home and all of us were awakened by those phone calls with the sick person at the other end. She, the woman, also stated the same exact words that were said publicly in posts to Cindy. The woman had to be drunk or on drugs because it is hard for me to believe anyone would say and act so evilly otherwise.

It will require the participation of a lot of players contributing to any serious settlement negotiation just as it did for the IRS case.

Those bolded words describe Gailon as one bold liar. Just like his pack of liars have been demanding proof, how about if Gailon can produce even one shred of evidence of what he means by "just as it did for the IRS case"

The IRS came, took huge amounts of documents, and in the end, found nothing. There was no settlement. Does Gailon seriously think that his repeating a lie again and again will somehow make it true?

I'm calling on that convicted embezzler to show some evidence - but he cannot, because all he can flap is his big mouth - nothing else. He must really be burned up that he somehow can't bring down 3ABN, despite his best efforts. But what he has shown is the unsavory pack of characters he associates with in his quest to shut down God's work.
A pack that includes : a stalker, a marijuana dispenser, a certified nut job, a porno addict, a former pastor who can't find employment - even as an elder, and a retired pastor who opens his mouth only to speak lies.

In the end, that pack of demon-led jackals will get their just desserts - from God.

At first, he claimed that Linda came to Norway and he spent all his time with her and the doctor, so there was no way anything could have happened. Now, he has said he "asked" a local pastor. Where was he? Not anywhere near Linda and the doctor, because they didn't want him anywhere near.

And now, from Linda's own mouth, comes confirmation about what she denied all along - she has now, according to her own website, moved to Norway, close to a "dear" friend. Obviously not Johann.

I have always had questions about the emails quoted above. They are published on Pickle and Joy's save 3abn NOT website, and have been quoted by 3abn's accusers on various forums for years, but something doesn't make any sense to me about them and makes me question their authenticity and their use. I will try to explain.

Pickle's version which is also quoted above not only appears to be false but it also appears to be very different from Linda Shelton's version as posted on her personal and official website. Rather than wanting to participate and not being allowed to defend herself, she said that she did not want to participate and decided she would rather drop her membership than face being under church discipline, or having to say negative things to her church to defend herself, all of whom, without exception, she accused of being biased against her and deceived. A Church which knew her well. She was one of it's original members. They were her neighbors, friends, family and co-workers and had been for many years.


Here is her "official" explanation taken from the public letter she wrote, dated "Winter
2005", and published by her on her "official" website:

"The end of October I received a letter from my previous pastor. The
letter stated that the church board had voted "to call a church business
session to recommend to the church that you be placed under censure."....To make
a long story short, I either had to take the church censure (which could
include getting kicked out of the denomination), or I had to appear before a
very biased group of people who had been saturated in a "very altered" version
of the story, and present things to them which would definitely not enhance
their Christian experience. It had the potential of turning into a
"joy-stealers" jam session.I did not want to participate in any
such a thing. I was counseled by two pastors and other
dedicated Christians to drop my membership. I have a verbal commitment from the
pastor that this is what will be done at the next church business session. "

There is something else which does not sound right and appears deceptive about the alleged letter to Danny and his alleged answer to Linda -- both dated 11/14/2005. --FYI: According to her former lawyer, Laird Heal, and his testimony in court during the lawsuit (he was also Pickle and Joy's former lawyer) it was Linda Shelton who gave all the private letters to a "friend" and it was also Linda Shelton who gave permission for those private letters to be made public.

The accusers have used those emails to claim she was prevented from defending herself, and that she was forbidden to say anything negative about Danny and ordered to pay all the money back before she could do so, while anyone reading them can see that Danny is only quoted as saying "I don't know if 3abn will release you" and sharing his thoughts that he thought she should have at least offered to pay back or not accept the ongoing payments if she wanted to be released from the agreement. That isn't the main problem here though. The main problem is that, if these letters are legit, they make no sense because she had already decided two weeks before writing to Danny Shelton that she "did not want to participate in any such a thing".

Two weeks before the alleged email to Danny she claims she had already been "counseled by two pastors and other dedicated Christians" to "drop her membership" and decided to do so. -- Most likely the two Pastors were Johann Thorvaldsson and Gregory Matthews, and the "other dedicated Christians" were 3abn accusers such as Darrell Mundall. Those three were in her confidence and representing and speaking on her behalf publicly before, during and after this time. It was also Mundall who hand delivered a letter from her to the Thompsonville Church formally requesting that her membership be dropped just as she published on her website.

On Oct 31, 2005, a full two weeks before the alleged letter to Danny, she wrote " I am formally requesting that as of today my membership be dropped from the church." in reply to the October 27, 2005 letter from the Thompsonville Church who had decided that they could not grant her request for a membership transfer as she was not a member in good standing. and due to that informed her that "we have voted to call a church business session to recommend to the church that you be placed under censure."

No one has ever suggested that she changed her mind about dropping her membership and decided to face the church board, and as you can see even she doesn't claim that on her website which gives her version of the events, even though her website letter came after all of the letters quoted in this post.

Church means very much to me, thus I take very seriously the message of your
letter. Yet I strongly feel, John, that you are compromised because of your
close association with Danny Shelton and your employment with 3 ABN and the “3
ABN Church.” (Also your dream. of many years to be on TV.) Additionally I feel
that you, as the Church Board, are compromised since most of you work at 3AB1.
Also, I feel the church members are compromised, to the matter at hand, because
of the propaganda in which they have been saturated. I have yet to he
approached by any of you for ministry purposes or to inquire about “my side of
the story.’ Quite frankly I do not feel I would receive a fair hearing in this
church. I protest the fact that you claim to go by the church manual in regards
to censure, but you ignore the church manual when it comes to reaching out to
the hurting one. Thus, I am formally requesting that as of today my membership
be dropped from the church.

Let it be known that I am innocent of the rumors and allegations made against
me. Let it be known that the separation from my husband and 3ABN was against my
will. And let it be known. that I love my Church and the people in it enough to
not publically broadcast in detail the wrongs that have been done to me. These
facts would only hurt, not help.

In spite of the neglect of Christians during my dark days, God has been very
good to me. I am blessed to have emerged with my sanity still intact and I have
a brand new perspective; a perspective which has clearly revealed to me that
many professed Christians have not yet found a genuine heart-felt relationship
with Christ, For this, the heart of Jesus bleeds. Although man can remove job
titles, etc, etc,, no man can take away my calling which I will continue to

Dear Linda,

Thank you for your speedy response to the letter the Church Board sent to you.
I, was also pleased to speak to you when you called me Sabbath afternoon. I
thought that our conversation went well and I listened to your observations
hoping that we would be able to help you. I was somewhat surprised how soon you
had Derrell Mundall hand deliver your reply letter to me at my office.

As I read it I was a bit disappointed to see that you expressed so little
confidence in the church board, the church members, and in me. To incessantly
suggest that the church is made of “compromised” members is quite short-sighted
on your part. This board is not made of people bought by Danny Shelton. It is
comprised of God-fearing Christians that understand all too well the great
responsibility of making well informed decisions.

It is enlightening to see how you unceasingly, and relentlessly, attempted to
dismiss your poor decision making by maligning others.

It was also quite manipulative on your part to imply that my “dreams of many
years to be on TV” disqualified me as an objective pastor. Linda you may
remember, it was at your urging that Danny called me to join the 3ABN family.
At no time did I even call or suggest that I was interested in being on TV.
Years before I even knew of 3ABN, Doug Batchelor and I were already on
television; not to mention countless other times without Doug. It was on the
heels of Net ‘99 in New York that I was invited to sing at 3ABN; prior to that
I had not heard of 3ABN. The doors that opened at 3ABN were not opened by any
dream on my part, of which there was none concerning 3ABN but by the hand of the
Lord.As a matter of record you probably remember well when you said to
me,”John, God brought you to St. Louis so that we could bring you the rest of
the way.” To suggest that you will be not be able to receive fairness and
impartiality is ludicrous.

Linda, as we look at the time-line of events you were the first one to call me
and ask for counsel about your friendship with the doctor. It was after I
arrived at your home that I heard the other side of the story. It was hearing
both sides that led me to give you counsel to sever the relationship with the
doctor from Norway. I made that decision as your pastor and as a marriage
counselor with 16 years experience, not as a “back-pocket” servant of Danny
Shelton.

It has been nearly two years since this escapade started and you will recall
that from the very outset, that Tuesday night in your living room, when you
made the decision not to sever your relationship with the doctor, you set the
course that led you to where you are today. Linda, the decision to hold on to
someone other than your husband in spite of the months of counseling, was a
critical decision in furthering your downfall. To further compound the matter,
you still held firmly to your course after the relentless pleading from your
friends, confidants, pastors, 3ABN board members, and non-Adventist counselors
to sever the relationship. One has to be quite short-sighted and uninformed to
come to the conclusion that all of those people were ”compromised.”

You also mentioned that no one made an attempt to visit you and minister to
you. Speaking for Angie and I, you may remember that when you made the
decision to move to out of your home and go to Marion for ”more privacy,” we
called you and asked if we could come and visit with you. You refused by saying
that you were not ready and that you would let us know when you were ready for
our visits. You never contacted us so we can only assume that you did not want
a visit from us. Even when we saw you in the mall with Danny, we asked again
about visiting and you said "I will tell you when.”

Many of the people that are still supporting your cause were not at ground
zero. You continue to suggest that it was the subsequent decisions that other
people made, rather than the initial one that you made that landed you where
you are. One of the greatest evidences of hazardous decision-making on your
part is the fact that you and the doctor are still in a relationship.

There was never a conspiracy to get rid of you and to refuse you a fair
hearing. You were, and are greatly loved by many of the people at 3ABN and
Thompsonville Seventh-day Adventist Church. However, love for someone and
loyalty to them are not always the same. While we love you, we must be loyal to
the truth and to the Lord. That is where we must be accountable.

God placed within your hands the responsibility of carrying a message to the
world. It is unfortunate that you came to the place where your desires became
more important than the responsibility placed on you through the message.
Linda, God called you and the Bible says in Romans 11:29 ”For the gifts and
calling of God are without repentance.” God called King Saul and God called
David; both of these followers of God sinned. The difference between a ”king”
and a ”shepherd boy” was clearly seen. Saul was too great to repent and turn to
God and the record is clear concerning his fate. David, although his fall was
great, turned to God with the heart of a repentant servant. For our admonition
David’s prayer of repentance was preserved in Psalm 139:23,24 (KJV),”Search me,
0 God, and know my heart; Try me and know my thoughts and see if there be any
wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

I read your recent response letter to the church board dated October 31,2005,
and I hope that the declaration that you made, ”Let it be known that I am
innocent of the rumors and allegations made against me, ”is not written in
stone. Linda, on this note you were correct, ”Man can remove job titles.”
However let me caution you about the rest of your declaration, ”No man can take
away my calling which I will continue to pursue.” Saul pursued a course that
dishonored God and God removed him. On the other hand David repented and
pursued a course that opened the way for God to restore him. The eternal
question is one to deeply and prayerfully ponder. Which course will you pursue?
David humbled himself under the Almighty Hand of God and was restored. In spite
of the dark stain of David’s past the apostle Paul preached a message that
recalls the fate of these two great men. He writes in Acts 13:21-22 (NKJV),”And
afterward they asked for a king; so God gave them Saul the son of Kish, a man
of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years. (22) “And when He had removed him,
He raised up for them David as king, to whom also He gave testimony and said,
’l have found David the son of Jesse, a man after My own heart, who will do all
My will.”


Linda, from the first night that I sat before you in your living room I made a
statement that has so far proven to be true. I said to you, ”Satan wants to
destroy you, your ministry, your career, and your marriage. ”The results are
evidence that to this day Satan has prevailed. I am hoping that he will not
prevail in robbing you of your salvation. Just recently I read the chapter ”Why
Was Sin and Suffering Permitted,” from the book, ”Patriarchs & Prophets.” I was
deeply impressed again by what I read to further warn you that you are still on
enchanted grounds and that the enemy is not done. Here are a few of the quotes
that opened my eyes:

“The angels whom he could not bring fully to his side, he accused of
indifference to the interests of heavenly beings. The very work which he
himself was doing, he charged upon the loyal angels. It was his policy to
perplex with subtle arguments concerning the purposes of God. Everything that
was simple he shrouded in mystery, and by artful perversion cast doubt upon the
plainest statements of Jehovah. And his high position, so closely connected
with the divine government, gave greater force to his representation.

“He had artfully presented his side of the question, employing sophistry and
fraud to secure his objects. His power to deceive was very great. By disguising
himself in a cloak of falsehood, he had gained an advantage. All his acts were
so clothed with mystery that it was difficult to disclose to the angels the
true nature of his work. Until fully developed, it could not be made to appear
the evil thing it was; his disaffection would not be seen to be rebellion. Even
the loyal angels could not fully discern his character or see to what his work
was leading.”


“Rejecting with disdain the arguments and entreaties of the loyal angels, he
denounced them as deluded slaves. The preference shown to Christ he declared an
act of injustice both to himself and to all the heavenly host, and announced
that he would no longer submit to this invasion of his rights and theirs.”


Linda, I saw that because of your great influence Satan would come at you with
great intensity. If you persist in holding to the self-deceiving position that
you have done nothing wrong, you are preparing yourself for the completion of
Satan’s plan, complete destruction. As long as you play the role of total
innocence, you are a gullible prey..

That is why we prayed for you when you were in your post at 3ABN and we will
still pray for you. Our deepest prayer is that you discover that greatness
comes not from being served but serving. We pray for your supporters because
they only know the side that you presented. Our prayer is that the Lord will
bring softness to your heart to make you a servant. At the end of the day it
must be seen that it is “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the
LORD of hosts. ”Zechariah 4:6 (NKJV).

Linda, God has not called us to be famous but to be faithful. I pray that you
will respond to the Holy Spirit’s call to faithfulness.

We deeply regret that you have made the final decision to have your membership
dropped from the church, but we do not have the right to refuse your written
“formal request.”

The church chose censure rather than removal of membership because it was our
desire to connect you with a Seventh-day Adventist church where you could find
spiritual healing and recovery, not to cause you any further hardship. It is
not our prayer that you pursue your calling; it is our prayer that you pursue
the heart of God.

Your greatest blessing will come when you are restored to wholeness in the
sight of God. God will richly bless you, not on account of whom you are, but on
account of whom He is. Seek His kingdom and His righteousness and all that He
has for you will be added.

As my name is mentioned in the above, let me clear up any uncertainty: It was my idea that Linda should request that her membership in the Thompsonville Chruch be dropped and that she immediately be accepted into membership in a SDA Church in another Conference on Profession of Fatih. I worked to place this into effect.

It is true that this was not the typical method of transfering from one congregation to another and is not the method of choice as outlined in the CHURCH MANUEL. However, the CHURCH MANUEL does not lock proceedures into concrete. Rather, it is more of a guideline. As a matter of fact, there are some alternative proceedures for transfering membership. The congregation that accepted Linda into membersip of another Conference on Profession of Faith was within their rights to do so. It happened because Linda was given support when it was needed.

It is not necessary to claim that either the membership of the Thompsonville Chruch or Pastor L. would have treated Linda unfairly in the disciplinary action that did not take place. One can only suppose as to what they might have done. I suppose that all of us think what might have happend. Well, it did not happen.

The reality is that under the most basic understanding of Ethics as established in the seccular world, The Thompsonville congregation should not have decided whether or not to discipline Linda. What ethical rules would be violated by them disciplining her? Well, to start off: To many people would be in a "Dual relationship" if they attempted to discipline Linda. That one is a fundamental rule of ethics--No dual relationship. There are options that the Thompsonville Chruch could have taken to deal with that issue.

The fact that they did not, was a consideration in what took place in the transfer of her membership to a congregation in another Conference. There were other factors. But, it is not my desire to get into a situation where it seems that I am pointing fingers of blame at people. The bottom line is that it happened the way that it happened. I played a major role in what happened and I believe that I was right in doing so.
