There was a great deal of discussion regarding LS's involvement in the GO program in the spring on 2008. Apparently 3abn and GO shared Board Members and the shared members objected to her being on the platform.

Since then there have been posts at Atalk implying her presence at the event resulted in GO receiving an offering larger than anticipated. It is my understanding that GO had never had an event like this before and had no idea what to expect in offerings. I have also never seen it accurately stated at Atalk that LS was not the featured speaker. She had a small 10 minute or so introduction at the beginning of the event that was the main event for GO. Like other speakers of the weekend she was asked to speak at a church in the area and did so Sabbath morning. It is possible that church benefited with an increased offering due to her presence. I believe GO appreciated her involvement that weekend and would agree that some people may have attended the event that afternoon to see LS. However, they would not agree she was a significant or primary factor in the result which was larger offering for their programs than they had anticipated.

They also clearly did not appreciate Joy's attempt to insert himself in the controversies that ensued or his snooping for information that he later posted at Atalk. Although Atalk published that Board Members of 3abn got involved, they failed for a long time or may never even indicated that the members were on both BODs. There was also an loud outcry that Dr. Thompson talked to GO but a full review of the matter reveals that more likely than not he did so at the invitation of someone at GO and did not initiate the contact as was intimated at Atalk.

I would agree with all you have explained here, but add that according to my understanding part of the problem with Linda being on the platform, which caused the GO/3ABN board members concern was due to the fact that the program was to be recorded and broadcast by 3ABN. I know that 3ABN provided free air time to Gospel Outreach in addition to their contracted time but do not know if this was one of those times. They were within their rights to broadcast or not broadcast anyone they choose, especially an employee they had let go.

I also think Johann was somewhat confused, or maybe I am, but I thought the fundraiser LS participated in was a different one broadcast on the Hope channel??
The Hope channel can of course broadcast or not broadcast anyone they choose also.

It's a major problem I think when, due to misdiagnosis by an unqualified quack, a body part is removed or amputated prematurely or unnecessarily, but more specifically when we attempt to cut them off from the body of Christ...



I don't want to appear mean or uncaring by saying this, because I believe most involved in these issues have good intentions, but I also can't help knowing that the road too hell is paved with those, so...

I really think too many of us who know better than to believe Fran, or Tinka for that matter, feel sorry for them or think they (and some others)are so nutso and off base that no one could possibly believe them. So we don't answer them or hesitate to answer for fear of causing a hurting unit more hurt.. -- OR -- we fail to rebut what they claim because it is just a major headache to even attempt to correct all the wrong assumptions they make or the lies they swallow and their self righteous stance about it all.

I also think about and wonder tho whether if by not answering them we are doing them, and those who buy into what they claim, a disservice, as it helps them continue in their self justifications and attacks of others? and I wonder and worry that by ignoring them for the most part maybe we are actually condoning their words and actions, and are wrong ???? It is hard, as sometimes we need to say nothing. I guess we all need to pray about it, and then listen for the lord's answer to each of us, as the answer we each receive may be different, although it is all for the same cause and purpose, His.

Anyway. I read where Fran posted on the 3abn and DS attackers forum about how she received her Sabbath blessing from watching 3abn, and then as usual all the criticisms, faultfinding and false accusations this brought from her, and again just shook my head...

That is receiving a Sabbath blessing??? NOT!

That to me is so clueless and so very sad... It is my belief that life is just way too short to be spent constantly looking for something or someone to criticize, and it is NOT healthy. In addition I am not aware of God promising any blessings for doing so, and I can't even comprehend that as being a godly characteristic. ( You want to receive a Sabbath blessing? Then seek the Lord, and His promised rest, and spend some quality time with Him!) But sadly; (and I know this from past experience especially while working at various jobs) negativity and faultfinding are indeed a deadly trap, and such an easy habit to form, especially when you align yourself with or immerse yourself with others who do that, as the Pickle and Joy crew do.

The title of this thread seems most apropos for noticing that Kristina Fiscalini (aka Sister on sites such as AdventTalk and BSDA) seems to have become tired of being ignored. Her latest nonsense is merely a rehashing of her previous work, "The Televangelist" which she wrote for Linda under a pseudonym. She has lost her cache and is desperately trying to get it back by pretending that Linda is penning a book and she alone is privy to an advanced copy.

It is sad that a pastor's wife does the work of the devil and that her husband is either oblivious (like Adam) or is in full support - an even more serious failure on his part. Has Linda Shelton thought that in writing what "sister" (Kris Fiscalini) is putting on the internet for the whole world to see, that she actually has "the spirit of gossip and talebearing" that is used by Satan?
